Greetings blogspotters!Today, the aY is going to tell you the benefits and fun to be had when partying it up in far-off lands!
Firstly, believe it or not, I have never gone to one of those University pub nights or whatever party type things college students do during the week. I guess I was always busy being awesome elsewhere. Fortunately, a hot lady friend of mine had a birthday, and seeing that it was her last year in school, this was the perfect opportunity to see how these events go! So, I packed up, took my Bro Steve (name may or may not be real to protect his privacy), my sexy lady friend Michelle (ditto), and my awesome self to college!
After a long roadtrip filled with misadventures, near stranded-ness, and hunting for food, we made it to the school.
We ended up meeting Steve's actual brother Kent (that's not his real name, but he likes being called that instead) and he set the tone for the night. At first, I, being my usual generous self, bought a round of Jager-bombs for the birthday girl(s!), and my friends. Afterwards, Kent returned the favour, in a totally awesome way.

He bought a pitcher of beer. Not for us. For me.
I did notice earlier that he was holding a pitcher of beer. I guess I never realised that the whole thing was for himself.
Yeah, that pretty much set the tone for the rest of the night. Mind you, I did have a lot of random drinks here and there, but it was have a pitcher, or go home. Actually, Kent did tell me one important rule: Don't drink from the pitcher. I was thinking, "Come on, Kent. the aY drinking straight out of the pitcher? That's classless for the aY." But seriously, there is a rule where if you drink from the pitcher, they'll kick you out. So, first important lesson when travelling to new places: learn the rules and customs of the culture.
Oh, another cool fact I learned: they give free pop to promote designated drivers! I applaud the establishment for taking this into consideration. Let's face it, being designated Dave sucks. If bars offered me free soda to stay sober, I would actually consider it!
Back to the story: since my bro had lots of liquid confidence in him, we decided to test the waters and have him pick up chicks! One day, I'll tell you how that went, but that is for another blog sometime in the future (Stay Tuned).
Since you are far away though, you can try things that you may not normally be confident enough to try! Try cheesy come-on's, or funny pick-up lines! If she doesn't acquiesce, just say you were kidding! Totally works for me, but that's because I'm the aY. I'm sure it would work for you guys too.
Well, I hope you guys learned something from reading this blog. You know me. I'm always trying to help.
Oh, and most importantly: "Happy Birthday!" You know who you are.

Thank you for attending my birthday, the aY! No doubt, the party would have been less fun if you weren't there!
