So, a while back, my friend Chris (name may or may not be real to protect his privacy) invited me to go out to a club on a Thursday night. I was a little confused as to why he would choose that day. I figured since he doesn't work all day like the rest of us, he was just being a little dumb with the date selection. How surprised I was when I saw that everyone on the list (minus myself) had confirmed that they were going to go.
The next day, I had asked how the event was, but no one really said anything. It seems that parties are only really Epic when the aY also attends them.
Just to go off on a tangent, I am by no means suggesting that events without me are not fun. There are literally billions of people on the planet who don't know who I am, and I'm sure they are having great times together. Quite frankly, if you are having an awesome time, I am happy for you. However, if you know me, you are guaranteed an awesome time if I party with you. That's a fact.
I was talking to a co-worker about this lame date for a party, and I received the most unexpected response. She said that Thursday's have ALWAYS been a party day! The reasoning is, nobody really takes Friday's seriously, and if you are hung over, chances are, no one will really know or care because they are waiting for the weekend to arrive. Well, that is kind of what she said.
Anyway, I decided to try this out last Thursday. My good friend Steve and I went to a small Korean bar and they have arguably the best deal on drinks in the city.
Starting at $22.99, you get a choice of 5 beers, a bottle of Soju, or something else that I can't remember at this moment.
Plus, a food that you can share between you and your friends (we chose Deep-fried, Spicy chicken balls).
Plus unlimited assorted appetizers including, but not limited to, french fries, calamari rings, Kim Chi, salted green beans. What up?!
Yes... it was AWESOME.*
As you can see in the photo, I took total advantage of the deal. Only one word can describe this, aside from "awesome.": "Delicious!"
*For those of you in provinces outside of Ontario, or those living down south in the great U.S. of A., here is some primer: We have a government subsidized monopoly on alcohol here where there are regulated prices that generally suck for the average consumer. As a comparison:
A case of Bud here can cost around $38 (Canadian), while in the province of Alberta, the same case of Bud is around $28. Big difference. To further exacerbate the issue, we can only buy alcohol for home consumption from two licensed chains: "The Beer Store" and the "LCBO." And all alcohol from restaurants and bars are regulated with minimum prices they can charge.
So, unlike you lucky Albertan's with your Cowboy bar and twenty-five (25) cent draft nights, we here have no such luck.

i've just realized the time in which you posted these....... don't you have work to do or something? no wonder you were too busy to respond to my e-mail! >.<*
